Densie Webb

Densie Webb, Ph.D., R.D., is a freelance writer, editor and industry consultant. She has been health editor at McCall’s, a frequent contributor to The New York Times, a monthly columnist for Woman’s Day, First and Prevention magazines, editor and associate editor for Environmental Nutrition newsletter and a writer for the American Botanical Council.

She has written regularly for several health and nutrition websites and is the author or editor of seven books, including’s Guide to Buying Vitamins & Supplements (co-editor, 2003), as well as having contributed to a number of other publications, including Parade, Shape, Family Circle, Food and Wine, Better Homes & Gardens Diet, Allure, Redbook, Weight Watchers Magazine, Fitness, and Today’s Dietitian. Her two most recent books are The Dish on Eating Healthy and Being Fabulous! written with co-author Carolyn O’Neil M.S., R.D., published by Atria Books, June 2004 and Reader’s Digest Magic Foods for Better Blood Sugar written with co-author Robert Barnett, published by Reader’s Digest Association, 2007.

As a consultant, she works with media, health professionals and the scientific community, researching topics, tracking trends and assisting in the preparation of manuscripts for publication.
