Cynthia M. Dobyns

Dobyns has created and implemented marketing communications programs for restaurants, resorts, private clubs, destinations, fashion and luxury retail. She brought her strategic public relations expertise to Florida from Alexandria, Va. in 1999. While in the D.C. area, she helped launch the conference center division of Marriott Hotels and Resorts, handling 30 properties across the country. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and travel industries, she has represented luxury resorts throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean.

In Florida, Dobyns has represented Bear Mountain Inn in New York, Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, Charlotte Harbor & the Gulf Islands, and Southwest Florida-based companies Ave Maria University, Boran Craig Barber Engle Construction, Inc., Guest Services Management, Inc., Goede Adamczyk DeBoest & Cross, Esq., Gulf Bay Group’s Fiddler’s Creek and Marco Beach Ocean Resort, Tiffany & Co., Waterside Shops, luxury autos Bentley, Rolls Royce, Mazerati, Aston Martin and Porsche; BRAVO! Brio Restaurants, Silverspot Cinema, Seasons 52, Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern and The Village on Venetian Bay. Non-profit clients have included several regional film festivals, Friends of the Library, Shy Wolf Sanctuary, Paint the Beach – a Plein Air Festival in Fort Myers Beach, Housing Opportunities Made for Everyone, Friends of the Arts, and Opera Naples.

Dobyns is a past president of the Public Relations Association of Collier County. She earned a Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America for solving a traffic challenge on Fort Myers Beach, Fla., by promoting a Park ‘n Ride Trolley and establishing the first high occupancy vehicle lane in Lee County.
