Upright has almost two decades of communications experience in the north Florida market. She focuses primarily on strategic direction, media relations, social media, fundraising, board management, community relations and special event management.
She specializes in developing and executing communications programs for north Florida restaurants, small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Upright has worked with a diverse group of clients, including Seasons 52, Pele’s Wood Fire, The Boselli Foundation, Off I Go, Mike Peterson Foundation and One Ocean Resort Hotel & Spa.
In addition to serving as a public relations consultant, Upright writes guest columns for Jacksonville’s Florida Times-Union. She is a regular guest on I’m Just Sayin’, a weekly segment on Jacksonville television affiliate First Coast News.
Upright is on the board for the Otis Smith Kids Foundation, a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville, an officer of the North Florida Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and a member of the Jacksonville Women’s Network. A graduate of the University of North Carolina – Asheville, she earned her accreditation in public relations (APR).
